Diyarbakır Airport (DIY) is approximately 6 km from the city centre and is served by Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality buses on three routes, Z2, Z3 and Z7. There is no Havaş airport shuttle at Diyarbakır; the municipal bus network is the only public transport option.
Route Z2, Üniversite ↔ Airport (recommended)
The main airport bus. Runs approximately every 23 minutes on weekdays from around 06:20 to 20:00, and every 35 minutes on weekends. Journey time is approximately 50 minutes. The Z2 passes through Dağkapı, Adliye, Koşuyolu, Batıkent, and Kamışlı Bulvarı before reaching the terminal.
Route Z3, Dağkapı ↔ Airport (Night service only)
Night-only service (30 minutes) to Dağkapı and Hastane in the old city area. Airport departures: 20:20, 21:40, 23:00, 00:20. Return from Dağkapı/Hastane: 21:00, 22:20, 23:40.
Route Z7, Üçkuyu Toki ↔ Airport
Serves the southern districts (65 minutes). Daytime: approx. every 70 minutes from 06:30–19:20 (same times from airport and Üçkuyu Toki). Night extras from airport: 21:30 and 23:30. Night extras from Üçkuyu Toki: 20:30, 22:30, 00:30.
Fares and payment:
All routes cost 28 TRY per journey (effective March 2026). Payment is by KentKart (Diyarbakır city transit card) only, cash is not accepted on board. KentKart can be purchased and topped up at kiosks near the terminal and at bus stops throughout the city.
