Konya Airport (KYA) is the gateway to Konya, the Seljuk capital and the city of Rumi (Mevlâna) and the whirling dervishes. The airport is about 18 km north-east of the centre. There is no municipal city bus to the terminal, so the two realistic options are Havaş and taxi. The Havaş airport coach is the simplest for visitors: it runs into the centre for 210 TRY in about 45 minutes, calling at Otogar and central stops such as Alaaddin and Zafer — a short tram ride or walk from the Mevlâna Museum. Havaş departures are coordinated with flights, so check times before travel. A taxi from outside arrivals reaches the centre in around 25 minutes for roughly 900 TRY on the meter. The open car park follows the 2026 DHMİ Group A tariff at 280 TRY per day, with the first 15 minutes free. Konya is also the nearest airport to the Neolithic UNESCO site of Çatalhöyük.
