Erzurum Airport (ERZ) is the main winter gateway to eastern Anatolia and to Palandöken, one of Turkey's premier ski resorts with some of the country's longest runs. The airport is about 10 km from the city centre. There is no Havaş service here: the cheapest way into town is Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality bus Line A1 (Havaalanı), which runs via the bus terminal, Erzurum Technical University and the municipality into the centre for 70 TRY with an ErzurumKart (85 TRY single-ride; weekday departures roughly 06:50–07:35 and 17:20–20:20). A taxi to the centre is about 650 TRY. Importantly, there is no direct municipal bus from the airport to the Palandöken ski slopes, so most skiers take a taxi (around 1,150 TRY) or a pre-booked hotel transfer. The open car park follows the 2026 DHMİ Group B tariff at 180 TRY per day, with the first 15 minutes free. Beyond skiing, Erzurum is known for the twin-minaret Çifte Minareli Medrese and its Seljuk heritage.

Erzurum Airport is 10 km from the city centre and is the main gateway to the Palandöken Ski Resort, one of Turkey's largest ski destinations. In winter most arrivals head straight for the slopes. City buses, taxis and private transfers serve the centre, while Palandöken, Atatürk University and the bus terminal are reached by taxi or transfer. City Bus (A1 / ErzurumKart)
The most affordable way into the centre is the Erzurum municipality A1 (Airport) line. The A1 runs from the airport to Erzurum city centre in about 35 minutes for 70 TRY. Payment is by ErzurumKart travel card rather than cash, so get the card in advance. The bus departs from outside the terminal according to flight traffic.
Taxi and Transfer to Palandöken
Taxis wait outside the terminal around the clock; the base fare is 60 TRY, 60 TRY per km. In ski season the most popular route is Palandöken. Approximate fixed fares to the main points:

If you are heading to Palandöken with ski gear or in a group, a private transfer can be arranged in advance at a fixed price, with the driver meeting you at arrivals and taking you door to door to your hotel on the slopes. In winter, snow and road conditions can lengthen the journey.
