Elazığ Airport (EZS) serves the city of Elazığ in eastern Anatolia, close to the historic hilltop town of Harput and the Keban Dam on the Euphrates. At about 12 km from the centre it is one of Turkey's shorter airport transfers. There is no municipal city bus to the terminal; the Havaş coach and taxis cover the route. Havaş runs to Öğretmenevi in the centre for 180 TRY and to Hozat Garajı for 170 TRY, both in roughly 25 minutes — and unusually for a small airport the Öğretmenevi service has published departure times rather than being purely flight-led. A taxi is about 470 TRY to the centre and around 645 TRY to Harput, on a meter of 50 TRY opening plus 35 TRY per kilometre with no night surcharge. Because the distance is short, a taxi becomes competitive with the coach from two passengers up. The open car park in front of the terminal holds roughly 500 vehicles and follows the 2026 DHMİ Group A tariff at 280 TRY per day, with the first 15 minutes free.
Elazığ Airport Transport Guide
Elazığ Airport is only 12 km from the city centre, making it one of Turkey's shortest airport transfers. The historic hilltop town of Harput and the Keban Dam on the Euphrates are both nearby. There is no municipal city bus to the terminal; the Havaş coach and taxis cover the route.
Havaş Shuttle
Havaş runs two short services, both about 25 minutes. The Öğretmenevi route costs 180 TRY and drops you in the middle of town — this is the one most passengers want. Unusually for a small airport, it has published departure times rather than being purely flight-led, so it is worth checking havas.net for the day's clock. The Hozat Garajı service is 170 TRY and is timed to arriving flights. Tickets are bought at the Havaş desk or on board; children travel at half fare.
Taxi
Taxis serve the terminal exit around the clock on the Elazığ tariff: 50 TRY opening, 35 TRY per kilometre and a 200 TRY minimum, with no separate night rate. The ride into the centre comes to roughly 470 TRY and takes about 20 minutes; reported fares cluster in the 360–470 TRY range. Harput is around 645 TRY, the bus terminal about 540 TRY and Keban roughly 1,975 TRY. Because the distance is short, a taxi is genuinely competitive with the 180 TRY coach once two or more people share — and it takes you to the door.
Parking
An open-air car park operated by DHMİ sits directly in front of the terminal with roughly 500 spaces; there is no covered or multi-storey garage. The 2026 DHMİ Group A tariff applies: 90 TRY up to 1 hour, 125 TRY for 1–3 hours, 180 TRY for 3–6 hours, 205 TRY for 6–12 hours and 280 TRY for a full day. The first 15 minutes are free. Motorcycles pay 140 TRY per day and midibuses, buses and trucks 385 TRY. Do the maths on longer trips: at 280 TRY a day a week approaches 2,000 TRY, well above a return taxi at roughly 470 TRY each way. Beyond three or four days it is usually cheaper to leave the car at home.

Terminal
Elazığ Airport operates from a single terminal. The Havaş desk is in the arrivals hall and taxis wait outside the passenger exit. The car park faces the terminal directly, so the walk to your vehicle is very short.
