The fleet is so large that firms undercut each other; economy can fall to as little as eleven dollars a day on some dates, with mid-size around thirty-five on average. Look a few days ahead and you can comfortably land near twenty dollars, and the quietest month is December. So the question here is not whether a car is available, but which one.
First a small but important detail: there are desks in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Pick the one that matches your arrival terminal, or you will be shuttling between terminals.
Whether a car makes sense depends entirely on where you are going, because Antalya covers a lot of ground. Kaleici and the city centre are twenty minutes away, Lara and Konyaalti close by. But Belek is half an hour, Side and Kemer roughly an hour, and Alanya nearly two. If you are staying in one resort and never leaving, a transfer is enough; but if you plan to run from Side to Koprulu Canyon and on to the Taurus villages, a car saves both time and money.
On the road, the ring road and the D400 coastal route can be busy in summer, so use navigation. Motorway tolls run on the HGS tag already fitted and are billed afterwards, nothing to do at the barrier.
